2nd Chronicles 29-33
Numbers 14:8 - Hebrews 11:16
King of Judah
King Hezekiah
King Hezekiah was a man who feared God and was very faithful to Him throughout almost all of his reign.

Hezekiah became king of Judah (the southern half of Israel) when he was only twenty-five years old.  His father had commited all kinds of idolatry when he was king.  He set up all kinds of altars and pillars to pagan gods while he ruled.  But when his son Hezekiah became king, he tore all those things down and opened the doors of God's temple back up.

Hezekiah loved God very much and he wanted to do all that God wanted him to do.  He brought true worship back into the temple and held a great Passover in Jerusalem, which had not been done for many years.

Hezekiah also built a tunnel for water to come into the city when invading armies were on their way to attack.  The tunnel can still be seen today and you can even walk through it.

With all that Hezekiah did, he still fell into pride when men from Babylon came to see what he had, and he showed them all of his treasures and possessions.

One thing we should remember about king Hezekiah is that he stood up for what was right even though his own father didn't.  Hezekiah trusted God and obeyed Him and brought all the people back to Him which pleased God very much.
