What is worship?
How do we do it?

When we read about king Hezekiah in chapter 29 of 2 Chronicles we see that he and all the people sang songs to God.  It says in verse 28 that the sangers sang, the trumpeters sounded and the Levites and priests offered a burnt offering to the LORD.
But is this worship?
The very next verse is what we read up top: it says when everything was done they "bowed and worshipped."

You see, worship isn't just singing songs to God.  It's so much more and it all starts in our hearts.  It's the attitude that we have with God - whether or not we will humble ourselves before Him.  When we give God everything that we can in every area of our life, then that's real worship!

God wants us to be close to Him, but we can't do that if we just go to church and sing some songs to Him.  We have to read His Word, the Bible, every day, and ask Him to help us through good times and bad.  We have to trust in Him! and not anything else.  Only when we love God with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength will we truly begin to worship Him!
